After 6 days of play, the eighth edition of the Swiss Championship of Poker, which saw the participation of 411 players and a guaranteed prize pool of 100,000 euros, has come to an end.
Yesterday, Monday, June 3, there were 10 players on Final Day in the hunt for the prestigious prize of the eighth edition of the Swiss Championship of Poker, and after 5 hours of play, Flavio Premarini’s successor was crowned. It was a historical player of Italian poker, Giovanni Mandriano, who beat Fabio Frusca in the final head’s up and took home 27,400 euros. There was no shortage of twists and turns and the chipleader of the Final Day, Gabriele Boccia, after a series of unlucky hands exited in fifth position. Paola C, the only pink quota on the Final Day, finished in seventh position.
Among the 411 SCOP entrants lined up many familiar faces and we cannot fail to mention the two “masters” winners of past editions, namely Cesare Augusto Poggi and Fernando Rodriguez. These days the Admiral Poker Room has been the scene of great excitement and the players have appreciated the structure of the tournament as well as the playability. The combination of Swiss Championship of Poker and Casinò Admiral Mendrisio confirmed to be the winning combination that makes everyone agree.
