The Admiral Poker Room’s second year begins with a bang: in fact, the first tournament of 2023 will be La Notte degli Assi in its classic version with a guaranteed jackpot of a whopping 200,000 euros, against an entry fee of 550 euros. The historic Italian brand had already been hosted at the Admiral Poker Room of the Casino of Mendrisio last May, but it had been presented in the “platinum” version with a buy-in of €1,000 and no guaranteed jackpot. Instead, this time the return of the Night of the Aces is in grand style and the 200,000 euro guaranteed prize pool is a sum that has never before been reached in Swiss poker tournaments. The Night of the Aces will be a poker event starting on 16 January and the Final Table of the Main Event on the 29th. The biggest tournament with a 200,000 euro guaranteed prize pool will have six qualifying flights, which will be on the 19th, 20th, and 21st in the first week and then on the 26th, 27th, and 28th in the second week. The first week’s qualifiers will play Day2A on Sunday 22 January, while those who make it through the second week’s qualifying flight will line up for Day2B on Saturday 28 January. All those who make it to the Final Table will already be “in the money” and will try to win the winner’s bracelet on Sunday 29 January. The Main Event will have late registration and one re-entry per day until the end of the 10th level. The starting stack will be 50,000 chips and the levels will go from the 30 minutes of Day1 to the 45 minutes of Day2 to end with the 60 minutes of the Final Day. The overall programme includes maxi satellites with 20 guaranteed tickets each and a big Omaha event.
